From March 4th – 7th, the entire Playaz Production Family headed to T. Scott’s hometown of Memphis, TN for a weekend takeover. After kicking it VIP-style at the city’s hottest nightclubs, the team prepared for a T. Scott performance at the Hunter Promotions Industry Summit on Monday, March 7th at the Zodiac Lounge. Reps from Interscope, Def Jam, and Universal were in the building… plus about 50 DJs and tastemakers from all across the south. T. Scott was the night’s featured artist and performed “Flashy” and his new single “Wanna B’s.” Flicks from the performance are below.

Meet Playaz Production Recording artist, LP. Born in Louisville, KY as Rosario Lavelle Patton, he later relocated to Pine Bluff, AR with his single mom and grandmother. There, his mom worked as a hair stylist while his grandmother helped to raise him. When his grandmother passed away from cancer, LP was left awe-stricken and did the only thing he knew to do: he picked up notebook and began penning his hurt and pain. His thoughts became lyrics and at 15 years old, LP created his first rap.

Soon after he began rapping, others took notice of his talent. Influenced by the legend Tupac and growing up listening to Baton Rouge’s Lil Boosie, his drowsy swag but notable lyrics stood out among the masses. After a short year, a mutual acquaintance introduced LP to Playaz Production Records CEO, The Wizard. The rest is history.

LP can’t help but stand out when on the stage performing alongside fellow rapper, T. Scott. He points out the the label’s recent success makes him want to go even harder. “We just finished performing for a sold out crowd that rocked with us the entire time we were on the stage. If that isn’t motivation, I don’t know what is.”

Bio: Yung Feddi

In 2007, Playaz Production Records welcomed rapper Yung Feddi to the family. Son of a factory worker, David, Sr. and telecommunications worker, Jewel, Yung Feddi says his early inspiration for hustling came from watching his parents provide for him and his sister. A Little Rock vet, Feddi has been influenced by his neighborhood since birth. He says that when he and his sister Tova weren’t out in the street, they were kicked back in the living room listening to music.

Early influencers like Master P, Pimp C, and Bun B can be noticed in Feddi’s easy flow and masterful storytelling. More recent influencers like Yo Gotti helped mold the rawness of his content. The array of influence has led Feddi to become one of the most versatile lyricists on Playaz Productions Records.

After developing his role in the family, Yung Feddi took the stage alongside T. Scott for the first time in 2008. He describes the experience as “exhilarating,” but contends that his performance at Little Rock’s 2009 Juneteenth celebration was his most empowering and sealed the deal on his dedication to the rap game.
